Personal Statement

I originally trained at Falmouth College of Arts, Nottingham Trent University and the Isle of Wight College. Despite having a background in Graphic Design, I also specialised in illustration.

I have enjoyed moderate success, my work has been published in literature such as Lush Cosmetics Times, Caris Magazine, Chichester Observer Magazine and twice in the Quay Arts Colouring Book. I've also won numerous competitions, most recently for artwork inspired by author Lynne Truss’s (Eats, Shoots and Leaves) Tennyson’s Gift. I have also produced designs for local businesses such as Merlin's Restaurant and Crepe Island Catering.

Having completed my PGCE in Further Education last year, I also enjoy teaching young adults part-time at a local college. I also instruct adult learners how to use software such as Adobe Creative Suite i.e. Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver and Illustrator.

As well as having work published on a postcard by Boomerang Media which will feature in all cinemas nationwide shortly, I hope to further my skills in web design and learn HTML, PHP and Flash amongst other things.
